We have received many inquiries from APFA members concerning APFA’s recent endorsement of Hillary Clinton in the upcoming presidential election and whether or not dues monies are being used to contribute to her campaign.

It is APFA’s policy that union dues are never used for political purposes. APFA uses members’ voluntary donations to the APFA Political Action Committee (PAC) to support candidates from all political parties who support Flight Attendant issues.

It is APFA’s responsibility to evaluate how candidates’ positions affect the Flight Attendant profession. We support both Democrats and Republicans, but it should be noted that over the years, the Democratic Party has more often supported Union issues that have benefited working men and women.

As always, your vote is a personal choice. You decide how much your profession influences your vote. Regardless of who you support in November, we emphasize the importance of exercising your right to vote. Your vote is your voice.
