American Airlines Flight 383 experienced an aborted takeoff earlier today at ORD due to a right hand engine fire.

Slides on the left and right side of the aircraft were deployed and Flight Attendants successfully evacuated the 767. Several passengers and one Flight Attendant were transported to area hospitals to be treated for injuries.

APFA National Safety & Security Chair, Noelle Weiler is en route to Chicago.

Our thoughts are with the crew. They are to be commended for their rapid response and professionalism as first responders on this flight.
