Stella!
We appreciate those of you that forwarded your examples of challenges in reaching Systems Scheduling during the recent Winter Storm Stella.
Although the Company is enlisting more staffing, Flight Attendants continue to experience long wait times, issues in securing hotel rooms, and not being contacted during rescheduling and cancellations. Some Flight Attendants were even called in error.
DCA and IAD 3-Hour Call Out Reminder
Effective March 2nd, the Minimum Reserve Call Out Time language aligned with the Co-Terminal Language per Section 12.H of the JCBA.
A Reserve shall be required to report within two (2) hours from the time she/he is notified of a sequence by Crew Schedule. If a Reserve reports to the airport after check-in time for the sequence, she/he shall receive pay and credit for the sequence as if she/he had checked in for the sequence at the same time as the rest of the crew. As an exception, Reserve Flight Attendants at co-terminals shall be provided three (3) hours call out.
This includes Lineholders that have trips awarded via the UBL/AIL. Please contact your APFA DCA Base Leadership if you encounter any issues regarding this change.
APFA Convention Recap
During the Annual Board of Directors Convention in St. Louis earlier this month, many of your concerns including the Department of Labor (DOL) Election Challenge, Delay in Flight Attendant Operational Integration (FOI), Scheduling and Hotel Issues, the Wage Arbitration, Uniforms, Communications, APFA Budget, Live Chat, and Cabin Odor/Fume Events were discussed.
Minutes will be available via APFA.org no later than Sunday, April 9th.
PIT Retirement Seminar Recap
On Monday, a Retirement and Benefits Seminar was held in Pittsburgh, PA. More than eighty-five (85) LUS and LAA Flight Attendants were in attendance.
Topics of interest covered COBRA and Insurance Coverage, Taxes on Profit Sharing, PBGC Projections, Financial Planning, and Retiree Travel.
APFA Retirement and Benefits Representatives Ron Harris and Patrick Hancock will be heading back to DCA soon. Details will be announced in a future communication.

When encountering issues with the Tablet App not accepting or maintaining the change in FA Position Selection entries, please contact the direct line at 412-776-8117 or 800-343-0343 for corrections as soon as possible.
The Company is aware of the sporadic glitches and working on rectifying the problem.
Thank you for taking the time to read and remaining engaged.
In Strength and Solidarity,
