Hurricane Maria Update 3 – LAA/LUS

Hurricane Maria made landfall on the island of Puerto Rico as a Category 4 storm early this morning and continues to impact the region. Maximum sustained winds are 140 mph with wind gusts recorded at 165 mph. Â The storm is moving NW at 12 mph.

Caribbean Operations Update*

ANU – Antigua
- Operations resumed today, Sept 20.
PLS – Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
- Last flight in today will operate as an extra section back to Miami. Â
- All flights cancelled on Sept. 21.
- Tentative plans to resume operations on Sept. 22.
POP – Puerto Plata
- Maintaining normal operations while monitoring the storm.
PUJ – Punta Cana
- All flights have been cancelled today. Â All flights cancelled Sept. 21.
- Tentative plans to resume operations on Sept. 22.
SDQ – Santo Domingo
- Maintaining normal operations while monitoring the storm.
SJU – San Juan
- All flights cancelled today, Sept. 20.
- Tentative plans to resume operations after 1400 Sept. 21 pending damage assessment.
SKB – St. Kitts
- Operations resume today, Sept. 20.
STI – Santiago, Dominican Republic
- Maintaining normal operations while monitoring the storm.
STT – St. Thomas
- All flights cancelled today, Sept. 20.
- Tentative plans to resume operations Sept. 21 pending damage assessment.
STX – St. Croix
- All flights cancelled today, Sept. 20.
- Tentative plans to resume operations Sept. 21 pending damage assessment.
SXM – St. Maarten
- Operations are suspended and all flights are cancelled.
- Tentative plans to resume operations have been moved back to Oct. 1.
