Hurricane Maria Update 3 – LAA/LUS

 

Hurricane Maria made landfall on the island of Puerto Rico as a Category 4 storm early this morning and continues to impact the region. Maximum sustained winds are 140 mph with wind gusts recorded at 165 mph.  The storm is moving NW at 12 mph.

Caribbean Operations Update*

ANU – Antigua

• Operations resumed today, Sept 20.

PLS – Providenciales, Turks and Caicos

• Last flight in today will operate as an extra section back to Miami.  
• All flights cancelled on Sept. 21.
• Tentative plans to resume operations on Sept. 22.

POP – Puerto Plata

• Maintaining normal operations while monitoring the storm.

PUJ – Punta Cana

• All flights have been cancelled today.  All flights cancelled Sept. 21.
• Tentative plans to resume operations on Sept. 22.

SDQ – Santo Domingo

• Maintaining normal operations while monitoring the storm.

SJU – San Juan

• All flights cancelled today, Sept. 20.
• Tentative plans to resume operations after 1400 Sept. 21 pending damage assessment.

SKB – St. Kitts

• Operations resume today, Sept. 20.

STI – Santiago, Dominican Republic

• Maintaining normal operations while monitoring the storm.

STT – St. Thomas

• All flights cancelled today, Sept. 20.
• Tentative plans to resume operations Sept. 21 pending damage assessment.

STX – St. Croix

• All flights cancelled today, Sept. 20.
• Tentative plans to resume operations Sept. 21 pending damage assessment.

SXM – St. Maarten

• Operations are suspended and all flights are cancelled.
• Tentative plans to resume operations have been moved back to Oct. 1.
