Hurricane Maria Update 5 – LAA/LUS
Hurricane Maria remains a Category 3 Hurricane with 125 mph sustained winds as it passes northeast of the Turks and Caicos Islands. At 1100 EDT, the eye of Hurricane Maria was moving toward the northwest at 8 mph. A turn toward the north-northwest is expected later today, followed by a turn toward the north by late Saturday. On the forecast track, Maria’s core will move away from the Turks and Caicos Islands today, and pass northeast and east of the Bahamas through Sunday.

- All flights cancelled today
- Tentative plans to resume operations the afternoon of Sept. 23 pending airport infrastructure and damage assessment
POP – Puerto Plata
- Normal operations resumed today, Sept. 22
PUJ – Punta Cana
- Normal operations resumed today, Sept. 22Â
SDQ – Santo Domingo
- Normal operations resumed today, Sept. 22
SJU – San Juan
- Limited operationsÂ
- Operating 1 flight per day, MIA-SJU-MIA, for the next three days
- Increasing flights will be contingent upon airport infrastructure
STI – Santiago, Dominican Republic
- Normal operations resumed today, Sept. 22
STT – St. Thomas
- All flights cancelled through the weekend
- Airport has reported major damage
- Tentative plans to resume service Sept. 25 pending damage assessment and airport infrastructure
STX – St. Croix
- All flights cancelled through the weekend
- Airport has reported major damage
- Tentative plans to resume service Sept. 25 pending damage assessment and airport infrastructure
SXM – St. Maarten
- Operations suspended and all flights are cancelled
- Tentative plans to resume operations on Oct. 1 pending assessment of airport infrastructure
