11.09.17 – (LAA/LUS) – APFA National Contract & Scheduling Chairs Announced
In a previous hotline, it was announced that National Scheduling Chair Daniel Koukes and National Contract Chair Chuck Ransdale would be stepping down from their respective positions for personal and professional reasons.
These two gentlemen have served APFA and the membership well in a knowledgeable, professional, and respectful manner. Over the past 18 months, I have been honored to work with them, and I can also say I truly call them friends.
They have agreed to stay on as long as they are needed to help transition the incoming Department Chairs. They will be missed at APFA Headquarters, but knowing them as I do, I’m sure they will never be too far away to help support and represent their bases. Both DFW and CLT are fortunate to have them.
With that, I would like to welcome and introduce the incoming National Contract and Scheduling Department Chairs who were confirmed today by the Executive Committee and will serve out the remainder of the current two year term which ends on April 30th, 2018:
CONTRACT CHAIR – Â PAUL HARTSHORN JR (CLT)
Flying since 1997, Paul has been actively involved in Union work for many years, including an elected local base position in Philadelphia, as well as a member of the AA/US Joint Negotiating Committee. Prior to his confirmation as the National Contract Chair, he served on the APFA Executive Committee representing ORD, PHX, and DCA-US. Paul brings experience and knowledge as well as a commitment to work with APFA leadership to ensure the Company is properly honoring and executing both current and future contract language.
SCHEDULING CHAIR – RENEE MAYER (LGA)
Renee has 29 years of experience as a Flight Attendant starting in 1987 with ATA Airlines. From 1993-2005, she has held various Union positions such as Info Rep, Uniform Committee, New Hire Committee, EAP, CIRP, Professional Standards, MEC Chair and Negotiations. From 2008-2012, she held positions on the Organizing Committee, Grievance Committee and Negotiations Committees with Ryan International Airlines and Omni Air International. Renee was hired by American Airlines in 2013 and is currently based at LGA. She joined APFA in 2015 as a Contract and Scheduling rep. With Renee’s well rounded and extensive union experience, she will be a true asset to the Scheduling Department.
In Unity,
Bob Ross
