1.17.18 – (LAA/LUS) – WTS for National Officers Re-run Election
Willingness-to-Serve for National Officers Re-Run Election
The National Officers re-run election is being conducted under the supervision of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Labor-Management Standards (DOL). The DOL held a pre-election conference today with respect to the National Officers re-run election. The DOL invited those individuals who were candidates in the election that had been challenged, as well as the National Ballot Committee (NBC), to the conference.
It was announced at the conference that a Willingness-to-Serve (WTS) form for the National Officers positions will be posted on the APFA website on January 24, 2018. The WTS form must be mailed and received in the designated PO Box by 10:00am CT, February 22, 2017.
Ballots will be mailed to the membership on March 14, 2018. Ballots will be retrieved at 10:00 CT on April 13, 2018, and the ballot count will commence at that time.
In the event that a run-off election is required for any position, run-off ballots would be mailed on April 23, 2018. Run-off ballots would be retrieved on May 23, 2018 at 10:00 CT, and the ballot count would commence at that time.
