Changes to Workers’ Compensation Managed Care – LAA

 

Effective February 1, 2018, the following changes will take place in regard to Compensation Managed Care for Flight Attendants based in California, Illinois, and Texas:

 

California: Sedgwick/Harbor MPN will be replacing HarborOne/Genex.

Flight Attendants who have a workers’ compensation claim may be required to change their treating physician. If necessary, you will receive a notification with instructions on how to select a new treating physician. You will have 14 days from the date of notification to make your selection.

This would also be a good time to make sure you have a current predesignated physician on file. If not, you can use the form on the APFA IOD Department page to record a predesignated physician. If you have questions about predesignating a physician, contact an APFA rep on duty.

Illinois:

You may continue to treat with any physician who accepts Workers’ Compensation, but to receive salary continuance, you will need to treat with a medical provider by going to www.iodmedical.com.

Flight Attendants based at ORD will receive this notification via email.

 

Texas: Sedgwick Preferred Network will be replacing the Genex Health Care Network.

Flight Attendants who have a workers’ compensation claim may be required to change their treating physician. If necessary, you will receive a notification with instructions on how to select a new treating physician. You will have 14 days from the date of notification to make your selection.

All other bases:

If state laws require you to treat in network, you can find a doctor through www.iodmedical.com. Some states direct care and you will be advised where to get medical treatment.
