3.02.18 – (LAA/LUS) – Message from APFA National President Bob Ross
As you all know, I have made the decision not to run for re-election for APFA National President. In order for the transition to be as smooth as possible, I’ve decided to step aside so as not to be a distraction to the forthcoming election.
It is my firm belief that a strong independent union, such as APFA, is in the best interest for the Flight Attendants at American Airlines. My goal has always been to put Flight Attendants first before union politics and by my stepping down, I believe I’ve accomplished that. As the APFA National President, there were issues I have found solutions for and others I have tried to resolve, but unfortunately, not all could be accomplished. I am hopeful that the new leadership may be able to achieve what is in the best interest of the American Airlines Flight Attendants.
It has been my honor and privilege to have served as your National President, and I will strive to work with the new leadership in any capacity they see fit. I reach out to each and every one of you with my heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the trust you have given me these past two years.
Bob Ross
APFA National President
