9.10.18 – (LAA/LUS) – September 11th – We Will Never Forget

APFA Hotline

Tomorrow marks the seventeenth anniversary of the tragic 9/11 attacks that changed our lives and history forever. Twenty-five Flight Attendants and eight Pilots were killed on that dark day. Every day we remember the bravery of the Flight Attendants and Pilots on board the four airplanes. They are our heroes. Today we are known as First Responders, a much different description of our profession from the days of stewardesses and stewards. Let us all take a moment of silence to pay tribute and honor our colleagues, friends, and loved ones. It is important to always remain vigilant, and most importantly never forget!

APFA National President Lori Bassani made the following statement on this eve of 9/11,”I will be attending the ceremony at ground zero and paying our respect to fellow crew members who perished in those horrific terrorist acts on 9/11 with LGA Vice President, Cathy Ryder. We will attend alongside AFA International President Sara Nelson and AFA Representatives. Both our Unions are proud to stand together during this solemn memorial. We Will Never Forget.”
