1.2.19 – Lineholder Reserve Designator (LRD) Tool
Lineholder Reserve Designator (LRD) Tool
With 8 new bases moving to PBS this will be your first opportunity to use the Lineholder Reserve Designator (LRD) in live production. You will use the LRD tool to preference either lineholder or “senior bumping” onto reserve. Below is some general information concerning the LRD tool and a link to a presentation with more information. We recommend you check the tool every month to make sure your status is correct. If you think your status is incorrect please contact the FABRC immediately.
On January 3rd at 1200 (DFW time) the LRD will open. When you log into Crew Portal you will see the LRD tool in the bottom right hand corner of the page. You will either be in lineholder, tentative or reserve status in LRD. The LRD will also show your seniority for the group with whom you are associated.
The number of Flight Attendants in the tentative category will be equal to the number of Voluntary Leave of Absence (VLOA) in your base, if VLOAs are offered.
For both lineholder and tentative the default will always be lineholder status. If you would like to be on reserve (senior bump) you would toggle over to reserve. Keep in mind that if you have more than 3 days of vacation and senior bump onto reserve it will not complete your reserve obligation.
If you are in the reserve grouping the default setting is to reserve. If you would like to bid off reserve, move the toggle switch to lineholder. If you are unsuccessful in bidding off reserve, it will count towards your reserve obligation regardless of vacation days.
The LRD will close on the 7th of each month, 1200 DFW time. When PBS opens on the 10th of every month you will see the results of the LRD tool in your PBS dashboard. Please review your status prior to bidding in PBS.
Attached is a presentation with more information and examples regarding the LRD tool. Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at [email protected]or reach out to the FABRC.
