1.25.19 – JSIC Update – Annual Vacation Bidding
Annual Vacation Bidding
Annual vacation bidding opens on Monday, January 28th at Noon (DFW Time). For LAA Flight Attendants this is an entirely new process, format and set of rules for how vacation is bid and ultimately awarded. For LUS Flight Attendants this will be a continuation of how you have bid your vacation in the past.
You will access the Annual Vacation Bid and Award (AVBA) via faportal.aa.com under the monthly bidding tab. Your annual accrual will be on the AVBA summary page.
faportal.aa.com > Monthly Bids > PBS Base or Non PBS Base > Vacation > Annual > Bidding Ballots
Significant Changes for LAA Flight Attendants:

- The one exception is that you can bid for one block less than 4 days. It can be one (1), two (2) or three (3) vacation days.
- You can bid to have up to six (6) vacation days as Filler Days that can be bid and awarded monthly
- Any block of seven (7) consecutive vacation days will be receive pay and credit at four (4) hours a day. Any block of less than six (6) days will receive pay and credit at 3.5 hours a day.
- The secondary bid allows you to bid for any remaining vacation days not awarded in the primary bid.
