DFW Highlights:
Seasonal flying commences on 06JUN with many exciting destinations and departures. Dublin, Munich, Reykjavik, and Kona are just a few of the additional bid jobs created for June. DFW will have new hire Flight Attendants reporting and transferring into the base in May, June and July. The base will see an increase in ODANS for June. Many Flight Attendants enjoy the flexibility of these trips. We will continue to monitor the number of ODANS built and Flight Attendant desirability.
DFW Concerns:
Sit/Connect times continue to be high in June. Optimizer programming has remained intact with an 80 minute minimum connect time on most domestic flights. As a result, long connections (sit time) continue to dominate many pairings. Crews may experience longer than normal connect times when they are connecting through hub cities. We continue to ask for programming adjustments to minimize connect times. All bases have expressed their concerns
with the new guidelines.
We continue to voice our dissatisfaction regarding commutable trips. Many trips have early report times and late returns. The overall quality of domestic and NIPD pairings is unacceptable, with many working excessive legs for minimum pay.
