Summer is almost upon us and our base continues to grow!
We have 2 more classes joining us this month, 13JUN and 27JUN.
Due to the grounding of the 737 MAX, that will conclude New Hire training for the year. It’s great to see so many new faces in Boston. Be sure to enjoy all the activities that the city has to offer this time of the year.

JUNE 2019 APFA Spotlight
APFA Negotiating Committee
The APFA Negotiating Committee shall be considered a standing committee for the purpose of negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreement(s) and further, may be called upon to assist in the resolution of disputes arising from the interpretation of such agreements.
The achievement of a Collective Bargaining Agreement is recognized as one of the highest priorities of the APFA. It is understood that all members of an APFA Negotiating Committee undertake their responsibilities and duties with a sense of commitment and a recognition of the trust placed in them. Confidentiality within the Committee is essential to the successful negotiation of a contract. All members of an APFA Negotiating Committee and all APFA representatives are required to maintain the highest of standards with respect to the confidential nature of issues and items discussed within the Committee.
Only active members in good standing shall be eligible to serve as appointed or elected members of any Negotiating Committee. Appointed members of the Negotiating Committee for a Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiated by the APFA on behalf of Flight Attendant employees of AAL must have been a member of the APFA for a period of two (2) or more years, and must previously have served in at least two (2) of the appointed or elected positions with the APFA as defined in the APFA Policy Manual. The National President of the APFA shall be the recognized Chair of all APFA Negotiating Committees.
Who makes up The APFA Negotiating Committee?
The Negotiating Committee is comprised of Seven (7) members:
⁃ The National President
⁃ Six (6) representatives,
-Two (2) who shall be elected by the membership at large
-Two (2) who shall be appointed by the APFA National President
-Two (2) who shall be appointed by the APFA Board of Directors by a two-thirds (2/3) affirmative vote of the Voting Board of Directors.
