SMS Text Message Notifications Now Live

What is the SMS text message notification service?
The SMS text message notification service is a way for APFA to offer the membership an additional way to receive time sensitive and important updates and reminders. The SMS text message notification service will only be used to send out urgent and important reminders to APFA members.

Will this replace APFA Hotlines and Base Briefs?
No, this service is not intended to replace Hotlines. APFA will continue to send hotlines and base briefs to the membership. If you are not currently signed up to receive APFA Hotlines or your base’s Base Briefs, you can sign up here.

What text message notifications am I able to sign up to receive?
You are able to sign up for APFA notifications as well as PBS bidding reminders, negotiations updates, and local base notifications. In addition to general APFA notifications you can subscribe to as many groups as you would like but will need to subscribe to each in order to receive the notifications for that group.

Is this service mandatory? Can I decide to stop receiving SMS text message notifications from APFA?
This is an optional service and you can start and stop service at anytime. If you unsubscribe, you will be removed from ALL lists and will need to resubscribe to APFA and each group if you decide to resume receiving messages again.
