APFA Files Presidential Grievance on Purser Recurrent Training Violation
APFA has filed a Presidential Grievance regarding the company’s clear violation of our Joint Collective Bargaining Agreement and past practice with respect to the Purser Recurrent Training for 2019-2020. The Company’s violations include, but are not limited to, making arbitrary changes to Purser Recurrent Training without APFA’s input/review, and failing to pay Purser Flight Attendants properly for required WBT Training.
Our contract clearly defines the contractual obligations of the company when it comes to compensation of a $75.00 separate payment required for the web-based training portion of the Purser Recurrent Training. The company is bundling this WBT Training with the In-Person Training in an effort to, yet again, squeeze our Flight Attendants out of the money they deserve. We will not allow it!!
