Vacation Accrual

The 420 annual (35-hour monthly average) thresholds applied to all non-PBS bases for the month of JAN 2019 and additionally for DFW and MIA through APR 2019, in order to accrue vacation and sick for those months.

Under JCBA Section 8.A, in order to be eligible to accrue sick and vacation, Flight Attendants in PBS bases must be available for 15 days or more in a contractual month.

As an exception, if you are available for less than fifteen (15) days in a contractual month and you still reach 40 paid hours, you must contact the Flight Attendant Service Center (FASC) to accrue sick and vacation within 60 days of returning.

You may view your year-to-date accrued sick hours and vacation days in Crew Portal by selecting “Current SK/VC Accrual – (HISK)”.

Check the “ACC SK/VC” Column in the HISK to verify if you have accrued sick and vacation for the month.
