DFW November 2019 Manning/Allocations Information
6151 Headcount for November Decrease of 13 from October, Increase of 492 year over year.
5699 Available Headcount at DFW. Increase of 12 from October, Increase of 486 year over year.
4844 Bid jobs are planned. Increase of 168 bid jobs from October, Increase of 557 year over year.
855 (14.8%) Flight Attendants are planned to serve reserve in November. This is a significant decrease in reserves from NOV 2018 when we had 1015 Flight Attendants serve reserve.
System reserve average is 15.1% a decrease of 3.3% (18.4%) from NOV 2018.
VLOA’s (bid leaves) will be available for November. Information and ballots can be found on Crew Portal or Crew Resources. VLOA ballots open at noon DFW time on 03OCT and close noon DFW time on 07OCT. All Flight Attendants interested in taking a VLOA should submit a ballot.
Projected Target Line average for DFW 79.6 hours.
System Projected Line average is 79.3 hours.
November Schedule Highlights
Schedule Change Dates—Sunday, November 03 and Thursday, November 21
November 03—End of US Daylight Savings Time, clocks fall back one hour except in Hawaii and Arizona.
Flex Flying Bank for DFW—Sunday, December 01
DFW Concerns: November has two schedule changes, the first schedule change on November 03 incorporates the end of daylight savings time the second schedule change on November 21 introduces the Thanksgiving holiday schedule changes. The company ramps-down flying prior to Thanksgiving and then ramps-up the operation after the holiday. Due to these operational changes many flights do not operate routinely and in some cases do not operate at all. Several pairings will have longer layovers to accommodate holiday and operational changes. DFW will have one Flex Bank on Sunday, December 01. A flex bank is a late-night bank of departures. We continue to voice our concern regarding pairings with long duty days and short layovers, lack of commutable two- and three-day trips, excessive sit/connect times and four-day trips (too many). Examples of undesirable pairings were sent to Allocations for modifications.
