Update on Former National Officers Payout

As was reported on August 26, 2019 the APFA Board of Directors (BOD) confirmed there was a deviation from past practice in interpreting the policies with respect to three previous National Officers’ payouts. The BOD also determined that the overpayments to these officers should be recovered and that APFA be made whole. On September 18, 2019, a letter was sent to the former officers providing the calculations and demanding the overpayments from June 2018 be repaid to APFA immediately.

The former National Officers requested additional information, and the APFA Board of Directors authorized the requested documentation be provided or made available for their review. This review was conducted on October 30, 2019 with the independent auditor, APFA Counsel and APFA Treasurer.

On November 8, 2019, a final letter was dispatched to the former officers demanding repayment per Resolution # 2 of the August 26, 2019 Special BOD Meeting.
