Carry your contract!
Please make sure to also pack your contract in your tote bag and carry it with you when you fly your trips. If you do not have a copy, stop by any MOD in the operations area and ask for your copy. As always, we are here to assist and answer any questions you may have.

From our APFA Health/IOD/Safety Departments
Fume Events and MedAire
MedAire will assist Flight Attendants involved in a smoke/odor/fume event, whether it’s domestically or internationally. If you experience symptoms due to a SOF event, you can now contact MedAire to speak with an ER physician for medical advice and a recommended course of action. MedAire Crew support can be reached 24 hours a day at 877-346-9174 or 480-333-3801.
Remember to complete a Cabin Discrepancy Worksheet and give a copy to the flight deck.
Statutory Waiting Period
The Statutory Waiting Period is when an injured Flight Attendant has to be off work and is considered eligible for workers’ compensation pay.
The waiting period is determined by state law and varies from state-to-state and begins when the Flight Attendant is removed from work by a physician for a compensable injury.

Meetings with your Flight Service Managers
Have you been called in by your Flight Service Manager (FSM) for a meeting? Did you know that you have the right to union representation? Do NOT go into any meeting without a union representative with you.
If we are not available when you call, we will have a DFW Base Representative’s (Rep on Call) phone number on our voicemail. Your FSM is not obligated to call us at APFA DFW to inform us of a meeting with you. This is your responsibility.
What is Professional Standards
The APFA Professional Standards is a confidential service offering members the opportunity to resolve conflicts or concerns with co-workers without management involvement. It is the lowest level of informal intervention possible. APFA encourages the use of Professional Standards rather than engaging the formal involvement of the Company. By utilizing Professional Standards, it offers the involved parties’ confidentiality and the ability to maintain control over the outcome of a conflict.
Our APFA DFW Professional Standards extension is monitored continuously to ensure a prompt response.
