Presidential Debate Video

There has been much discussion about altered debate videos that are currently being disseminated on social media. As a reminder, APFA policy states, in part, that

“Candidates may upload the recorded debate to their respective Websites immediately following the APFA uploading process. APFA and each candidate shall ensure the Presidential Debate is uploaded and displayed in its entirety and original format; portions or clips of the Presidential Debate are prohibited; the videographer will include a notice on the recorded disks prohibiting the alteration of the original recording.”

While this language was inadvertently removed from current versions of the Policy Manual, after research and review, it has been determined that it is still APFA policy. We have already notified all 8 candidates of this policy and are now asking anyone who may have posted altered videos of the APFA Presidential Debate to remove them.
