PBS: Reserve & Lineholder Status

PBS is now open for June 2020 bidding. Please remember to check your status prior to bidding in PBS. Your information can be found on the PBS Dashboard.

Also review if all the information in your Dashboard is correct including your aircraft qualifications, existing credit, training month and any other special qualifications you may have.

If the information is incorrect please call the Flight Attendant Bidding Resource Center (FABRC) at (888) 376-5375, as soon as possible.

Who should bid 7 layers as a Lineholder and 7 layers as a Reserve?

If you were a reserve and had toggled to lineholder it is important to back yourself up with also bidding lines.

The question that many have is why? The Lineholder Reserve Designator (LRD) will process who will be a Lineholder or Reserve and the result will be displayed in your PBS Dashboard when bidding opens.

There will be one mid-bid update for June on May 17th that could move a Reserve to a Lineholder status. Additionally, once PBS bidding closes, prior to processing the bids if your status was Reserve in the PBS dashboard, your Reserve status could change to lineholder, should additional lines become available.

NOTE: If your status in the PBS dashboard shows as lineholder, your status may never be changed to Reserve.

The following is the priority order of reserves that would be moved to Lineholder status on the 15th:

1. Tentative Flight Attendants who were involuntarily moved to Reserve status.
2. Reserve Flight Attendants who toggled to Pref LH in the LRD who were unable to hold Lineholder status in LRD.
3. Most junior Reserve Flight Attendants involuntarily moved to Lineholder status after all the above been utilized.

It is important to remember that you may have a standing bid as a Lineholder or a Reserve.  If you do not add a lineholder bid for the current month, your standing bid will be utilized when your PBS bid is processed.
