New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut Impose Quarantines for Travelers
To stem infection rates that have spiked in other states, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, and New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy announced Wednesday that a travel advisory would go into effect Thursday, June 25, 2020. Visitors traveling to the tri-state area (NY, NJ, CT) from states with rising rates of infection would be required to quarantine for fourteen days.
Currently, those states include:
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- Arizona
- Florida
- North Carolina
- South Carolina
- Washington
- Utah
- Texas
The Company notified APFA late Wednesday night to confirm that crew members would be exempt from any imposed travel restriction or quarantine.
If traveling to and from the affected states, it is always good practice to carry your American Airlines ID, and the Company provided Essential Business Letter.
