Professional Standards: A Valuable Resource

APFA Professional Standards is a voluntary, confidential service offered to Flight Attendants. The goal of Professional Standards is to resolve conflicts and concerns with fellow employees without involving Management, and to prevent escalation to disciplinary action from Management.

Your Professional Standards Representatives are fellow Flight Attendants trained to mediate and facilitate resolution at the lowest level of intervention. The integrity of this program is reliant on confidentiality. We provide a collaborative approach to resolving issues in the workplace. We urge you to utilize the resources that we provide. No issue is too trivial.

One of the most recent issues in today’s environment is mask compliance. The Company’s mask mandate has been the subject of many calls. We, along with the Allied Pilots Association (APA), take this very seriously, and will address each call with the utmost concern. As Union members, we want to protect all jobs. Professional Standards should be your first contact in conflict resolution.
