A Holiday Message to Our Furloughed Colleagues

As we celebrate another Thanksgiving, many of us will be celebrating alone or in small groups. Some will be flying, but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our colleagues no longer have the opportunity to fly. Though we may be apart now, please know that we miss you all and look forward to your swift return to the line.

It is always a struggle and a sad time when we have Flight Attendants on furlough. We have been through this before, and it never gets easier. Many of you gave us a piece of your hearts with your heartfelt media interviews and PA’s of goodbyes upon landing. We heard you. You posted your photos of goodbyes in your uniforms, either on a plane or at various airports. We saw you. You have never left our thoughts. When you discovered that furloughs were imminent, you chose to continue to work with a smile on your face and continued to have a positive impact on your passengers and fellow crew members.
