Residents of Washington state: Beginning January 1, 2022, the State of Washington will implement a new income tax to fund state-provided long-term care (LTC) benefits. APFA is offering employees an easy option for exemption from the new WA LTC payroll tax. You can entirely opt out of this tax if you secure your LTC coverage before the June 15, 2021 deadline. *Eligibility for fewer health-related questions: Actively-at-work APFA members ages 18-65 with at least six months of service.  This is a one-time opportunity available between April 15 through June 15, 2021.
