June 2021 First TTS Run and ETB Opening Delayed
For the June bid month, we have returned to our contractual timeline for PBS bidding. PBS bid awards will be final on the 20th of the month. The Company will receive a cancellation package from Network Planning on May 21 at 1400 (CDT) for any flights published in the bid package for June and any known cancellations for the remainder of May. When cancellations due to COVID-19 or other reasons are known in advance, we see many sequences that need “repair” or that will show “failed continuity” until the sequences have had the canceled segments removed and the sequence rebuilt. As a result, this will push back the first run of the Trip Trade System (TTS) and opening of the Electronic Trade Board (ETB) by one day.
- The first run of TTS ballots for June will take place on May 22 at 2300 (HBT).
- The ETB will open on May 23 at 0400 (HBT) for the June bid month.
APFA did recommend other solutions to the Company, however, the timeline for the cancellation package is set and cannot be changed. In exchange for the delay of TTS by one day, APFA was able to secure pay protections for COVID-19 cancellations through Letters of Agreement for May and June.
