June DFW TTS Failure
Last Saturday, after processing for hours and completing 78% of the run, DFW TTS processing failed. As a result, TTS results for DFW were delayed. Flight Attendants were asked to temporarily reduce the number of requests and choices to complete a successful run. This caused unnecessary stress and uncertainty on those attempting to adjust their June schedules.
DFW Base President Amber De Roxtra, National Contract Chair Jeff Petersen, National Scheduling Chair Marti McMillan, and JCBA Specialist Renée Mayer spent over 72 consecutive hours in contact with American’s IT Department as they worked to identify the issue. The May 25th DFW TTS run was successful.
To date, the AA IT Department still has not determined the root cause of the failure. APFA Leadership will continue to be in close contact with American until we can be assured that the issue is resolved and we will not face another failure in future TTS runs. Failures to our scheduling systems are unacceptable, and as soon as we have more to report, we will pass the information along.
In Solidarity,
Julie Hedrick, APFA National President
Amber De Roxtra, APFA DFW Base President
Jeff Petersen, APFA National Contract Chair
Marti McMillan, APFA National Scheduling Chair
Renée Mayer, APFA JCBA Specialist
