Recognizing Independence Day
The Fourth of July has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941. On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence. Two days later, delegates from the thirteen American colonies secured their independence from Great Britain and adopted the Declaration of Independence. We celebrate our freedom and honor our brave servicewomen and men across the country and around the world.
We also recognize that it is important to continue to work toward a more perfect, equal Nation. An America that provides an equal opportunity to all; regardless of the color of their skin, who they worship, or who they love.
In observance of the UAW Office Staff Federal Holiday, the APFA Headquarters will be closed tomorrow, Monday, July 5. The APFA office will reopen, Tuesday, July 6, at 09:00am (CDT).
Also, the APFA Contract & Scheduling Desk will be closed tomorrow. However, our APFA Live Chat will be available tomorrow from 0900 – 1700 (CDT). The live chat link may be found on the home page of APFA.org.
Respectfully,
