COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate Deadline Extended to January 4th
The company has been informed that the federally mandated COVID-19 vaccination deadline has been extended to January 4th, 2022. This decision aligns the deadlines for the two types of federal vaccine mandates.
Given this development, APFA members have until Jan.‌ 4, 2022, to submit proof of vaccination or a request for an accommodation.
You will need to receive your second dose of either Pfizer or Moderna or a single dose of Johnson & Johnson and upload your vaccine card by Jan.‌ 4, 2022.
Flight Attendants who have been vaccinated but have not yet submitted proof of vaccination should submit it through your Comply365 portal.
If you still need to be vaccinated
American is offering onsite vaccine clinics and events at several locations.  A list of dates/locations is available on Jetnet. You may also find vaccines available at most major pharmacies or go to www.vaccines.gov to find a location.
If you are requesting an accommodation
Flight Attendants who cannot be vaccinated because of a medical disability or sincerely held religious belief may visit www.aa.com/accommodations to request an accommodation no later than Jan.‌ 4, 2022.
American’s incentive window extended
Flight Attendants who submit their vaccination proof by Jan.‌ 4th or are approved for an accommodation will be eligible for an additional day of vacation pay, as well as $50 worth of Nonstop Thanks points.
