January 2022 Vacation Buyback Re-opened
The Company sent out a CCI message alerting Flight Attendants of an option for Monthly Vacation Buyback on November 25th. Since the message went out the evening before Thanksgiving and was sent as medium priority, many of you did not see the message and let your APFA Base Representatives know that you were interested in the buyback but missed the opportunity. APFA Leadership requested that an additional opportunity be provided to ensure that those who want to sell back their vacation be given the chance to do so.
If you are a Lineholder or Reserve and wish to participate in the monthly vacation buyback for January, you may only sell back full blocks of vacation days that start on January 1st – January 30th.
Your vacation days will be paid out at 4.0 hours per day for blocks of 7 or more consecutive days, while blocks of 6 or fewer consecutive days will be paid at 3.5 hours per day, excluding premiums. Selling back your vacation allows you to pick up more time from TTS/UBL. If you sell back seven (7) days of vacation for 28 hours, the amount of hours you may pick up from TTS/UBL will increase by 28. You will be paid for the vacation buyback in your February mid-month paycheck.
To request monthly vacation buyback, access the form via Comply365 on your tablet, or using the Comply365 Web Version available on the front page of the Jetnet Flight Service page under ‘Helpful Links’:
Path: Comply 365 > My Forms > AA FA > January 2022 Vacation Buyback
The deadline to submit the form is December 7th, at Noon (CT). The Company will award the buybacks by December 8th, at Noon (CT).
