APFA BOS Base Brief – December 2021
Another year has come and gone, and oh, what a year it has been. We welcomed back to BOS our furloughed and EVLOA Flight Attendants, and saw BOS headcount grow due to 65 new hires arriving in November and December. Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and professionalism throughout this past year. We know it has been extremely challenging and APFA BOS truly appreciates all of you.
And now, onto the Boston Base Brief:
Surveys
The APFA Negotiations Survey closes on December 10th, at 1700CT. Everyone should be filling this out. This will help our Negotiating Committee determine what items are most important to our Members. Make your voice heard.
The LHR Hotel Survey closes on December 29th, at 1200CT. If you have worked an LHR trip, please offer your input on the current hotels. Also, please refrain from sharing hotel information, especially the address or general location on social media.

From BOS Flight Service
BOS APFA has received some feedback from BOS Flight Service regarding contacting your FSM. Please be sure to respond to an email or voicemail promptly. This should be reciprocated by FS when our FAs contact them as well. As always, you are entitled to have APFA representation available should you have a phone call or meeting. Also, feel free to “cc” Amy or Kelli into an email. Our contact information is at the end of this base brief.
UNICEF
Sign up to be a UNICEF Champion. Collection of spare change is permitted on both IPD and NIPD flights. Visit the American Airlines UNICEF website for more information.
Twin Hill – Lands’ End
Just a reminder to all BOS FAs – Twin Hill Uniform pieces may no longer be worn. This includes the winter coat, scarf, and sweater.
Amy’s Email Group
For those that subscribe to Amy’s email group, as of January 1st, 2022, she will no longer be sending out base information or hotlines via that medium. Please make sure that you have signed up to receive the APFA hotlines and Boston Base Brief on the APFA website here.
