February 2022 Staffing and Allocations

We will see a substantial decrease in the Reserve percentages for February. The total number of Reserves planned for February is projected at 398 which represents 14.7%. January spiked at 26.8% with a total of 735 Reserve heads.

The Company is committed to looking at pre-pandemic historical levels for 2022 when forecasting Reserve numbers. We are hopeful this downward trend continues.

The headcount for February will remain about the same with 300 more Lineholders.

Block hours for February were relatively the same as January. There will be a noticeable decrease in wide body flying in the Domestic operation. This was expected as the Company is moving the wide body flying into the International long-haul markets.

The uptick in the Spring flying originally scheduled to start on February 3rd, has been pushed to March 3rd because of the rising COVID cases. A schedule change will occur on February 3rd and there will be higher volume expected over the President’s day weekend ending on February 21st.

TVL, CDG, MAD, and LHR will operate on a 777, BCN on a 787. The schedule will be like January with adjusted departure times.

GRU will operate a daily Rocket on the 777-300, and two daily departures on the 787 with 38 and 22 hour layovers. GIG will operate daily on the 787 with a 40-hour layover. EZE will operate daily on the 787 with a 36-hour layover. MVD will operate 3 times weekly as Rocket on the 787.

BOG will operate daily turns on the 777-200. MDE, UIO, and GYE will operate daily turns on the 787. Narrow-body daily turns will include PAP, BAQ, MEX, UVF, CTG, and PEI.

LAX will operate a daily 2-day Rocket split between 777-300, and 777-200. A second 777 Transcon will be incorporated into a 3-day trip with JFK on the front end. I asked the Company to split the JFK portion off, but they were unwilling due to the increased pay and credit.

LAS, JFK, and CLT will operate daily 777 turns.
