PHL EMPLOYEE PARKING

We are receiving reports from Flight Attendants with concerns about the Bartram employee lot. American Airlines does not own the employee lot- it is the responsibility of the airport authority. I have discussed the parking lot issues with PHL station VP Lakshman Amaranayaka. He is holding another Labor Leader meeting on Monday, and I will again bring up the most recent reports. Regardless of who is responsible for the lot, we should be provided with a high level of safety when we are coming to or leaving work.

If you experience any unsafe situation or vandalism, please report it to your manager and while probably inconvenient, file a police report.

ITALY

Italy has been added to the countries that require crew members to be vaccinated. As of today, we are still planning to start FCO in March and VCE in May. Only vaccinated crew members will be able to operate these sequences.

Please review the COVID destination information on your tablets.

MEETING WITH YOUR FLIGHT SERVICE MANAGER (FSM)

Please remember: if your FSM or AFSM reaches out for a meeting, you are entitled to representation. As soon as you are made aware of a meeting, please call for representation at 215-360-3115.

We are seeing an uptick in disciplinary meetings resulting in advisories for failure to complete required WBTs, customer complaint letters, late to the gate, delays charged to Flight Attendant, and the list goes on. All disciplinary letters including those issued by your AFSM for attendance do stay on your work record for 12 active months.

ATTENTION RESERVES

If you are serving reserve, be mindful of your responsibilities. If you have a triggering event, such as a late sick call, sick on contact, a missed trip, etc., the company will conduct an audit of your travel and compare it to your days of availability. If they find something suspicious, they will conduct a company investigation, and you could be subject to discipline up to and including termination.

I am not going to sugarcoat this: a reserve not in position to accept an assignment is VERY serious, and we are seeing Flight Attendants terminated across the system. If you have questions about your responsibility while serving reserve, please call us.
