Flight Service Daily Operations
The safety and security of our crews should be the paramount priority of the Company. That attitude should be reflected by transparency and collaboration with APFA to achieve one common goal: to ensure that our Flight Attendants are cared for and protected.
Flight Service Daily Operations is the department tasked with assisting Flight Attendants should they find themselves in a situation that impacts their safety or wellbeing while on a sequence. Every day, countless Flight Attendants reach out to Daily Ops for assistance with medical emergencies, passenger misconduct, mechanical events, and more, trusting that timely and compassionate assistance will be given.
However, in recent weeks, delayed notification, misinformation, withheld or redacted details, an exceptionally high attrition rate, and a myriad of other problems have shown that Flight Service Daily Ops is not the effective and collaborative unit it once was. APFA cannot say that we believe Daily Ops is capable or willing to provide complete and timely information regarding matters of Flight Attendant safety and security. In turn, this effectively hinders APFA’s ability to respond swiftly and coordinate care internally.
When you find yourself in an urgent situation, you should not have to wonder whether you are being given the correct information or being supported appropriately.
We strongly urge you to reach out to either the APFA Safety & Security Department or your local Representatives directly should you find yourself in need of assistance. We will provide you with accurate information and assistance. To reach a Safety & Security Representative, you can email [email protected] or call (817) 540-0108, ext. 1, 6.
