APFA ReachesĀ Agreement onĀ COVID-19 Absences
APFA has reached agreement outlining a procedure to mitigate attendance points when a Flight Attendant tests positive for COVID-19. This agreement will also retroactively address attendance points accrued from April 1, 2022.Ā Look for details soon.
After working with other labor unions representing Flight Attendants across the industry, it became even more obvious that American Airlines was trailing the entire industry when it comes to dealing with COVID related absences.Ā Last week, we asked everyone to take a moment to email American leadership to address this industry disparity. Management responded quickly to the thousands of emails sent, and your activism reignited the conversation to ensure American lives up to its promise to care for its employees.
As we move through negotiations, look for more action items designed to help us win our priorities at the bargaining table. Your participation will be invaluable.
Thank you for taking the time to hold this management accountable.
