8.19.22 – Contract ACTION Team Update – Rally in Philadelphia

PHL Contract ACTION Team,

The labour union movement is growing across the United States. This Saturday we’ll be attending a workers rally outside the Independence Visitor Center off Market St. (near the Liberty Bell & Independence Hall) and we’d like to muster a sizeable APFA presence in solidarity. The rally begins at 16:00 ET and will feature speakers like Senator Bernie Sanders, AFA-CWA President Sara Nelson, and Teamsters President Sean O’Brien. Wear any and all APFA, Contract ACTION Team, and other union-related paraphernalia you have, as we’ll be rubbing elbows with dozens of other labour groups, and it’s sure to be some very charged energy. I’ll bring some pins, Contract ACTION bags/badges, and lanyards if anyone needs some extra flair to wear and take home.  There’s no sign-up or registration required, but for more info you’re welcome to RSVP with our sister union, AFA-CWA, here.
