Time will never erase the memory of our brave colleagues we tragically lost on that dreadful early Tuesday morning – September 11, 2001. On one of the darkest days of our nation’s history, these flight attendants & crew were the last lines of defense, and their lives and act of heroism will FOREVER be remembered.
On Saturday, September 10th, Flight Attendants will have an opportunity to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony. APFA National President Julie Hedrick, APFA National Treasurer Erik Harris, and APFA LGA Base Leadership will be in attendance. We will come together to honor the lives of our heroes/colleagues.
Date: Saturday, September 10, 2022
Location: Word Trade Center Memorial –Â North Pool
Time: 4:00pm (please arrive by 3:45pm)
Meeting Point will be in the vicinity of the North Pool. If you have any last-minute questions on the day of the event, text 347-546-0703.
The 9/11 Memorial & Museum has graciously extended this courtesy to Flight Attendants, and this year more than before, we want to make it special.
Please wear your uniform in full compliance. We will have 9/11 Union pins. If you are planning on attending and would like to volunteer to help coordinate the event, please contact the LGA Base President directly.
In Unity,
Christian M. Santana
