September 11th Remembrance Events

Remembrance events to honor the victims and first responders of the 9/11 terrorist attacks will be held throughout the country. While this is not a comprehensive list of events, we hope this will help you with planning either at home or on a layover.

Boston, MA

September 11, 2022
8:00am: Employees gather in the Event Room, Lower Level, Terminal B. Meet/Greet  Fr. Patrick O’Connor

8:15am: Reading of crewmember names in followed by short prayer, Fr. Patrick O’Connor

8:25am: Proceed to tarmac by Gates B9/B11

8:40am- Flag ceremony, followed by moment of silence, prayer lead by Fr. Patrick O’Connor

8:50am- Proceed to United Airlines Gate B27 for flag ceremony, followed by moment of silence; prayer lead by Fr. Patrick O’Connor

9:00am- Conclusion of ceremonies, refreshments served, United Airlines Ops.

Shanksville, PA

Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to allow ample time to be shuttled to the event site. Signage and staff will direct visitors to parking areas. All visitors on the morning of September 11 will park in designated lots and shuttle to and from the event. Accessible buses are available to accommodate wheelchairs. Shuttles will begin running at 07:00 a.m.
