Labor Day 2022

The United States is currently experiencing a significant resurgence of Labor Unions. Since last October, Union representation petitions filed at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) rose 57% compared to a year earlier. Labor Unions are again in high demand to ensure fair wages and a safe work environment for employees.

Earlier this year, APFA Members and Leaders were able to attend the 2022 Labor Notes Conference, along with 4,000 Union Members and Activists, to focus on building power within the Labor Movement by standing together across airlines and industries. Over the last year, we have seen employees at companies such as Amazon, Apple, Chipotle, Starbucks, and Trader Joe’s come together to organize Union campaigns to build power for those that create value for these major corporations. Within our industry, APFA and Unions across the country continue to offer support for Delta Air Lines Flight Attendants in their pursuit of Union representation with AFA-CWA.
