Hurricane Ian- Letter of Agreement
All,
We have reached a Letter of Agreement for Hurricane Ian. The Company was unwilling to offer any pay protection outside of the JCBA despite our efforts to protect cancellations that did not meet the contractual criteria for last trip/series protection.
If you had a cancellation that was not pay protected (XI) or had to take a PO, you will be able to move unused vacation to protect some or all of the time lost. You can move as much vacation time as necessary provided the vacation does not cover any paid activity. For example: If you took a PO for a three-day trip on September 28th-30th and your next trip is not until October 5th, you would be able to move up to seven days of vacation to help recover the time lost. Vacation blocks of seven or more days are paid at the daily rate of 4.00 hours per day. Moving less than seven days reduces the value to 3.30 per day.
Additionally, any PO or TM that was storm-related from September 27th-30th will be removed and recoded to an XX. Any additional time off needed due to a hardship resulting from Hurricane Ian will be handled on a case-by-case basis and should not be denied. Please email your Attendance Flight Service Manager (AFSM) to have your TM or PO recoded.
