November 2022 PHL Staffing and Allocations

The allocations for PHL are not surprising. We have seen the pull-down of all the seasonal IPDs. We do have domestic and NIPD flying on the 787. Sit times seem to have decreased slightly, and we have some four, five, and six-day IPD layovers due to the reduction in holiday departures.

ODANs have dropped off- we will only have a daily ODAN to BOS, with some others sprinkled throughout the month.

PHL will see an increase in block hours for November. We will have 125,211 hours, and PIT will have 4,788 hours.

LRD is now open with a projection of 260 reserves. This will not include the 74 new Flight Attendants we will welcome in the last three weeks of October because they will not be bidding in PBS for November. PHL’s opening line average is projected at 80.2.

For October, PHL saw a double constraint in PBS. The #1 person in the base was held to a 70-hour minimum. Further down the bid run, there was a 78-hour minimum. Please back up your bids just in case. I did express my concerns about having a double constraint. Clearly, these constraints show we need more line holders. The company did indicate they are projecting to continue hiring through the summer of 2023 for attrition backfill and growth.
