10.06.22 – Flight Attendant Drug And Alcohol Program (FADAP): Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)
Thursday, October 6, 2022
The days are getting shorter with less light as we head into fall. As this change occurs, do you find yourself:
- Feeling listless, sad, or blue?
- Losing interest in activities you once enjoyed?
- Having low energy and feeling sluggish?
- Experiencing carbohydrates cravings, overeating, and gaining weight?
- Having difficulty concentrating?
Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression characterized by its recurrent seasonal pattern. In certain cases, these mood changes are more serious and can affect how a person feels, thinks, and manages daily activities. One might even find themselves increasing their use of alcohol for comfort or relaxation.
