PBS Award Files Available for All Bases
Have you ever asked yourself these questions?
- What does my bidding seniority hold at DFW?
- Did that trip really go senior to me?
- Am I able to hold London out of NYC?
- What would my Speaker seniority hold at MIA?
All of us at one time or another have had questions about our PBS award or where we stand at our seniority at other bases around the system. However, up until now, we have not been able to easily do much research to validate our questions or concerns.
Look no further: PBS Bid Award Files are now available to you on APFA.org!
In a continuing effort to increase transparency and accountability within the company’s bidding systems, we are pleased to announce that APFA’s IT team has finished creating a searchable database for reviewing PBS award files for all bases. The October PBS award files are currently viewable on the APFA website, allowing Flight Attendants to access and research the current month’s PBS awards.
This information may be helpful as you contemplate transferring to another base or if you are just curious where you stand around the system. This allows you to search for Flight Attendants around your seniority at a particular base to see what they are holding in PBS. You can even look up a particular sequence and see who was originally awarded in PBS. There are other ways to use this new resource, and we hope you will find many helpful applications.
PBS Award File Video Tutorials
The PBS Award File Video Tutorials are located on the Scheduling page of the APFA website. The path to the files is APFA.org > Departments > Scheduling > PBS > PBS Award File Video Tutorials. The six tutorial video topics include:
- Understanding the PBS Award Files: An Introduction
- Did that trip really go senior?
- Can I hold LHR out of New York?
- Can I hold Speaker trips at another base?
- What trips are FAs around my seniority holding at my base?
- What trips am I likely to hold at another base?
Lineholder and Reserve Awards
The path to the files is APFA.org > Departments > Scheduling > PBS > PBS Award Files, or by clicking on this link. We have also created a series of videos to walk you through searching and sorting awards using this new tool.
The sorting features provide multiple ways to search and sort both lineholder and reserve awards, including:
- Employee number
- Last Name
- Base
- Seniority
- Sequence number/Date
- Position
- Purser
- Speaker qualification
Base PDF Awards
Additionally, we’ve uploaded the PDF files of each base’s PBS awards here. The PDF award files are searchable using a “Find in document” feature (click photo below to enlarge):
For now, we will only be able to upload one month’s award files at a time. We will replace the October file with the November awards on or around October 19th. We look forward to expanding on this resource as we move to make even more improvements to the APFA website.
