February 2023 PHL Staffing and Allocations

Happy New Year, PHL!

Our allocations call was on January 3, 2023. We have an increase in block hours to 137,092, an increase of 8,281 block hours. The PIT satellite base also saw an increase of 18 block hours. Our Reserve numbers are lower at 13.4%, which means 286 F/As are expected to be on Reserve. The line average when PBS opens is 81.1. PHL saw 557 hours of vacation buyback awarded for February.

Staffing in PHL has increased with the addition of new Flight Attendants throughout 2022. Our current headcount is at 2261, with 2131 available to bid (1845 projected lineholders and 286 projected reserves).

Good News! Hiring will continue in 2023 at a rapid pace. We do not know how many new Flight Attendants will come to PHL. When we have that information, we will communicate that to you.

Unfortunately, 2023 started with an IT glitch affecting the ROTA run on New Year’s Eve. Although the Company has agreed to pay protection for anyone affected by the error, it should have never happened in the first place. More information can be found in the latest email from APFA here.

Our ODAN schedule was reduced for February, with sequences to BOS and PIT only. We are back to 3% of ODAN flying in the base. We continue to work with the Company trying to increase our ODAN flying.

ANNUAL VACATION BUYBACK

Annual vacation buyback opens on January 6th at 1200 CT, and closes January 13th at 1200 CT. Awards will be posted on January 18th, at 1200 CT. Any “buyback” days awarded will be paid in the June mid- month paycheck (pay-no-credit).

SYSTEMWIDE PICKETING
