FAA Systems Causing Systemwide Delays
This morning, the FAA Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system experienced an outage, resulting in a nationwide ground stop. This has caused delays and cancelations for departures and arrivals into and within the United States. As of 0800 CT, the FAA reports that the system is back on line and departures have resumed.
This disruption may cause changes/cancelations within your sequence throughout the day. The newly redesigned, mobile-friendly APFA website allows you quick access to the most important time sensitive questions when you’re out flying.
From the top of the main page of the APFA website, click the new ‘On the Job’ tab:
The ‘On the Job’ tab contains links to valuable resources, among them Rescheduling, Pay Protections and Legalities. Rescheduling information is divided up into the different contractual categories: Prior to Report, After Report But Prior to Sequence Origination, and After Origination.
