Bank Structure:

• DFW remains at eight banks operating on peak days with B9 cancellations on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Allocations Information:

March pairings are similar to February except for some Daylight Saving Time adjustments, the IATA summer schedule implementation, and Holiday/Special Event
flying.

Daylight Saving Time is Sunday, March 12th. Clocks spring forward one hour at 2am. Due to the time change, some layovers over the weekend may be under the eleven-hour optimizer minimums.

With the implementation of the IATA summer schedule, linked to Europe’s Daylight Saving Time change, the base will resume flying to FCO and service to HND will
commence. Direct service to PVG returns, operating 4X a week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday for the summer schedule.

Optimizer programming has remained mostly unchanged, with pressure placed on building one-day pairings and fewer three and four-day trips. Trip types have remained status quo month over month. The base asked for higher time turns, two-day trips and a cap on the number of legs per sequence. We continue to emphasize that Flight Attendants must work more days due to low monthly trip values. Pairings with double layovers remain constant due to frequency and crew rest requirements.

Base Leadership pushed back on Reserve numbers for March. Reserve percentages continue to be higher than we would like, with no acceptable reason provided. Each month we are given different factors resulting in additional Reserves for DFW. Last month it was the number of Flight Attendants on vacation; this month, it is an increase in block hours and historical absenteeism data. We disagree and will continue to ask the company to substantiate their assertions.

DFW received 362,258 block hours for March, an increase of 5,255 hours from February. STL satellite has 4,361 hours, whereas AUS will have 1,498 hours for March.
