3.25.23 – APFA PHL Base Brief – Convention Recap/Negotiations Status
Saturday, March 25, 2023
Hello PHL,
Last week was the annual APFA Annual Board of Directors Convention held in DFW. Our first day was dedicated to training, conducted by Carey Dall, Activist, Union Organizer, Longshore Worker, member of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Local 10 (ILWU), and Labor Notes supporter. We reviewed organizational skills, mobilization to engage the membership, and strategies to show support and unity for successful negotiations. Solidarity and support is essential for sending a strong message to the Company that we are serious about our economic proposal bringing Flight Attendants up to a livable wage, and demonstrating to the Company WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND WE ARE READY!
Annual Convention Day 1: Training
Days two, three, and four were for Union business reviewing department updates from last year and informing us on future plans, expected challenges, and goals for the upcoming year. The resolutions put to a vote concerned Policy Manual changes and two Ad Hoc positions for two-year terms each on the Executive Committee.

Negotiations Status
Our comprehensive economic proposal was passed to the Company, and we have yet to receive their response. Details of the economic proposal, as well as all sections currently being discussed, can be found on the APFA website under the Negotiations Status tab. We look forward to seeing you, April 4th 1100-1300, for our next systemwide informational picketing event. It is essential for us to show the Company we are unified and dedicated as we continue to bargain for what we deserve.
