3.31.23 – APFA BOS Base Brief – March 31, 2023
Friday, March 31, 2023
BOS Flight Attendants,
After nine years of being your APFA Boston-Based Union Representative, I am writing to say farewell to all of you. It has been challenging at times, but I have learned so much over the years, and I thank those who have helped me along the way.
It is easy to criticize from the outside, so I encourage everyone to get involved. Although we may not all see eye to eye on everything, now is not the time to fight amongst ourselves. We are in the middle of Negotiations and deserve a better contract. I want to see all the anger and frustration directed at the company, not your fellow APFA members. We need to be more unified now than at any other time. The company loves it when we fight each other. I want to see everyone wearing a Union pin and red lanyard and attach a “We are Ready” bag tag on their luggage. It may seem trivial to some, especially those who have not been here during contract negotiations, but the company notices all these things.
I have worked alongside Kelli Powers and Devyn Gourley these last few years and am confident they both will do an outstanding job. It is never easy to decide to do this job, and I thank them for choosing to do it.
Fly safe, Boston.
In Solidarity,
Amy Milenkovic
APFA BOS Base President
