BOS Flight Attendants,

First and foremost, BOS APFA would like to thank Amy Milenkovic for her hard work, dedication, and advocacy for our BOS Flight Attendants over the past nine years. You will be missed, and we wish you all the best in ORD. There’s no place like home.

For those who may be new to Boston, welcome! Our transfer list continues to clear each month, and we have received New Hires weekly. We hope to see this continue throughout the year ahead.

Knowledge is Power. Be sure to keep yourself informed, sign up for APFA Hotlines and BOS Base Briefs, check out the Negotiations Status on APFA.org, wear your Union pin, and know your Contract. We have highlighted a few items below.

These programs have been updated and evolved over the past year. We are very fortunate to have Heidi Visocchi as our BOS Representative. All calls are confidential, and members of the APFA EAP will provide services offering emotional support, referral information, assistance with conflict resolution, and support following a traumatic event, both on and off the job. A Peer Support Representative may be reached by calling the APFA EAP Helpline at (833)214-2002, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Jury Duty

We wanted to remind everyone that jury duty summons are submitted via a form in Comply365. APFA Contract and Scheduling recently published a hotline discussing the Company’s disregard of the JCBA with regards to Jury Duty compensation. If you experience this violation, please get in touch with one of us to ensure a grievance is filed on your behalf.

Early Boarding

We continue to receive reports that agents are sending passengers down for boarding prior to the contractual time. The time to begin boarding should be established during the departure dependability briefing between the agent and the FA1. If early boarding does occur, please contact your Flight Service Manager (FSM) to file a pay claim. If your FSM is unwilling or unable to resolve the issue, please contact us. Documentation is always critical. If possible, please screenshot the C-Text in MobileCCI for the flight in question (Go to Flight Info > Pre-Flight Documents tab > Passenger tab > G*FLT/DATESTA/C (C-Text) and make a note of the time that the first passenger crossed the threshold of the aircraft.

Are you Ready? 25,000 Strong! Join us at Terminal B, Lower Level, Outside of Baggage Claim. All are welcome. Bring a friend or family member! Anna Meyers, Kelli Powers, and Amy Milenkovic will have some APFA swag (lanyards, pins & bag tags) to hand out during the Picket. All Members will be mailed 2 Bag Tags to their address on file with APFA in the coming weeks.
